About Us
John Gordon is the founder and face behind Reins Agri with over 40 years of experience in the livestock, cropping, and irrigation industries. He knows all too well the rewards and challenges of farming in demanding climates.​
John completed a Bachelor of Economics (Agriculture) from the University of New England, Armidale, before spending several decades living and working within his family's rural holdings in Bourke, Western NSW.​
He is passionate about family farming enterprises and the key role they play in Australia’s agricultural industries. John has a particular interest in the management and stewardship of water, and the role this finite resource plays in sustaining rural communities.
Through Reins Agri, John aims to fill the knowledge void that can exist in agricultural businesses. He is primarily focused on enhancing the skill sets of those entrusted with the day-to-day running of their business operations.
